Preorder Warhammer 40K Chaos Knights Battleforce and Ruinator

Chaos Knights are truly on the rampage, bringing with them a whole new kind of Knight to terrorize the battlefields of the 41st Millennium. Games Workshop’s June preview unveiled a range of upcoming Chaos Knights releases that will thrill any devotee of the Dark Gods. This wave has it all – a new Codex packed with lore and rules (including an all-new Knight variant), a Knight Ruinator bristling with close-range weaponry, a massive Houndpack Lance Battleforce unleashing a pack of War Dogs, plus handy datasheet cards and even custom Chaos Knights dice. Here's a breakdown of what comes in each package and how they fit into Chaos Knight armies.

Chaos Knights: Houndpack Lance Battleforce

Warhammer 40k: Chaos Knights Battleforce - Houndpack Lance Preorder

The Houndpack Lance is a new battleforce box containing seven War Dog-class Knights – complete with the parts to build each one as a Stalker, Karnivore, or Brigand. It also includes four transfer sheets with 238 decals for customizing their dark heraldry. This is a one-box army of vicious armored hounds, perfect for the new detachment rules in the Codex that support running a lance of War Dogs without a larger Knight.

Tactical Uses:

  • All-War Dog Army: Use the Houndpack to build a full detachment of nimble War Dogs that can surround and overwhelm enemy units with speed and target saturation.

  • Support Role: Mix them into a list with larger Knights, where they can grab objectives, harass flanks, and finish off weakened units.

  • Thematic Builds: With the included transfers, it’s easy to create a unified, menacing visual theme across all seven models, or give each a unique identity within a roving Chaos pack.

The Knight Ruinator is a brand-new Questoris-class Chaos Knight. It comes equipped with a fellbore drill, a darkflame lance, and terrorpulse missiles, making it a devastating close-range threat. The same kit can also build other Knight variants – Rampager, Desecrator, or Abominant – giving you total flexibility in how you field it.

Creative Build Ideas:

  • Ruinator – The Linebreaker: Leads the charge with terrifying melee and flame-based weaponry, perfect for cracking open enemy lines.

  • Desecrator – Long-Range Fire Support: Ideal for anchoring your backline with laser destructors and acting as a sinister warlord.

  • Rampager – Frontline Berserker: Pure melee fury, charging directly into high-value enemy targets.

  • Abominant – Warp-Touched Versatility: Balanced option with a mix of ranged, melee, and warp-infused abilities.

This updated codex includes new datasheets, Crusade content, detachment rules, and lore. It features support for the Knight Ruinator and introduces fresh ways to theme your list, like detachments focused entirely on War Dogs or psychic-infused Abominants. It’s also rich in narrative content, giving depth to the background of corrupted knightly houses and daemon-bonded Freeblades.

Datasheet Cards: Chaos Knights

The datasheet card pack includes 12 large-format cards with the core rules for all Chaos Knights units. They streamline gameplay by keeping stats and abilities within easy reach, especially helpful in fast-paced or competitive settings.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Knights Dice

This set of 16 dice features a marbled white-and-black finish with green pips and the House Herpetrax emblem on the six face. Perfect for adding thematic flair to your games and showing allegiance to the Dark Gods in every roll.
